How does activated charcoal work?

Updated 5 months ago by Becca

Activated charcoal traps toxins and chemicals within its pores. As opposed to “absorbing” them, activated charcoal stimulates a reaction known as adsorption. Adsorption is the chemical process of elements binding to a surface (i.e. charcoal’s very porous surface). The toxins and chemicals stick to this surface and are eliminated safely through your body’s natural digestive and metabolic processes.

In short, RESCUE Activated Coconut Charcoal binds to toxins and foreign substances and gently flushes them out.
