Can a refund be applied to a different payment method than my original method of payment?

Unfortunately, as per Shopify policy, refunds must be issued to the original method of payment only.

In cases where a card expires or is cancelled between original purchase and refund request, the replacement card (must be attached to the same bank account) will be credited with the refund. However, please check with your bank to determine their refund under special circumstances policy before proceeding.
